Privacy Policy — Berean Arcade

Berean Arcade is a two-player Bible game on one device. The hub policy at https://berean-life.com/privacy covers the website and Berean Paths. It does not cover this app. Quest is https://berean-life.com/quest/privacy. The Study Bible is https://berean-life.com/bible/privacy.

What stays on the device

Player names (up to 16 characters each), sound, music, dyslexia-friendly type, vibration, the scoreboard, and the Loser's Challenge shuffle position stay on the device. A match in progress stays until the app or tab closes. Those names are whatever the players type. They are not sent when a game is played, won, or lost.

Optional account

Sign-in, creating an account, forgot password, and deleting an account are optional. Each of those, and every link out of the app, waits for a parental check (8 + 5). Sign out does not. If you sign in, the app sends the email and password to https://berean-life.com over HTTPS and keeps the signed-in email on the device until you sign out or delete the account. Delete account asks Berean Life to delete the account.

Games do not need an account.

Purchases

Arcade Full Access is one non-consumable unlock, product id arcade_full_access. Bible Buzzer, Stones of Remembrance, and David vs Goliath are included without it. The other games need that unlock.

On iPhone and Google Play, the purchase goes through the store and RevenueCat. The app reads the store's own price.
On the website, checkout is the shared Berean Life checkout. The page shows $4.99 struck through and $1.99 until June 1, 2027.
On Amazon, the purchase is an Amazon in-app entitlement. The price is the Appstore's price. The app sends the receipt to berean-life.com so the server can check it. The shared secret for that check is not in the app.
On Samsung Galaxy Store, this build does not sell anything.
On the Microsoft Store, the unlock is a Microsoft Store add-on. There is no website checkout in that build.

Opening a checkout page does not grant access. A purchase is recorded by the store. This app has no purchase until the store product exists.

What this app does not do

There is no advertising, no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, and no third-party tracker. There is no chat. Nothing is sent between two players' devices. There is no camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, or notification permission. Android asks for Internet, for the optional account and for verse links, and for vibration when that setting is on. iOS asks for nothing beyond the defaults.

Verse links open https://berean-life.com/bible/read/… outside the app, after the parental check. The app does not attach your names or scores to that link.

Children

Berean Arcade is a general-audience app. It is not in Apple's Kids Category and not in Google Play's Families program. The parental check is in front of accounts and links out. Player names stay on the device.
