Children's Privacy

This statement explains our COPPA posture for this website and, in brief, for our products. We take children seriously because the Lord does, and because federal law does.

This website is not directed at children

The berean-life.com hub is a public information site. It is written for parents, pastors, and adult visitors who want to know who we are and how to find our tools. It is not directed at children under 13, and it does not collect personal information from anyone — child or adult — except what a person voluntarily types into a contact form. There are no profiles here, no chat, no comments, and no tracking. The sign-in link forwards adults to Berean Quest; nothing is collected on this site. A child who lands on this page is not asked for a name, an email address, a photo, or anything else.

We collect nothing by default

We do not use analytics, advertising identifiers, or fingerprinting. We do not run a pixel. We do not set a tracking cookie. If a child never fills out a form, we never receive a record of that child. The contact form is intended for adults. If we learn that a submission came from a child under 13, we will delete it.

How our products treat children

In Berean Quest and the Berean Life Study Bible, children under 13 are never account holders. An adult holds the credentials. A child or teen may have a nested profile under that adult account, so that a household can play or read together without turning a child into a customer. A child’s name and any photo you add stay on the device they were entered on and are never sent to us; what follows the adult’s account between devices is the profile’s initials, the avatar chosen from our own artwork, the age tier and gameplay progress, so a household can pick up where it left off on a phone, a tablet or a laptop. We store only initials on purpose, to keep children’s details off the internet. The one Berean Quest feature that sends play to a server in real time, Co-Play, sends an avatar label and an age tier — never a name or profile id — and deletes the room when it ends. Those products publish their own privacy policies, and those policies govern any data they hold. Please read them before creating an account.

Parents

If you believe we have received information from your child through this website, write to support@berean-life.com. We will delete it. We would rather hear from you than guess.
